If you would like to eat in a traditional Japanese style, start dinner with sashimi; thinly sliced pieces of raw fish, white radish (daikon), wasabi, ginger and soy sauce. You can also add thin slices of beef and squid. Together, they make a perfect balance of the mild, acidic, salty and sweet.
