  Make your own piñata

  Upgrade the fun and games by making fun piñatas for the kids. Follow the instructions to create your own candy rain.

  This tip will create a classic donkey shaped piñata that you can fill with loads of candy.

  You will need: 

  • Wallpaper adhesive
  • Newspaper
  • Oblong balloons
  • Masking tape
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Crepe paper
  • String
  • Loads of candy
    
    

  1. Inflate 7 balloons; 4 for the legs, 1 for the body and two half inflated for the neck and head.
  2. Tape the balloons together into the shape of a donkey.
  3. Rip the newspaper into shreds and brush them with or dip them in wallpaper adhesive.
  4. Dress the balloons with at least 3 layers of newspaper and glue. Don’t forget to shape ears.
  5. Leave the donkey to dry overnight.
  6. Cut holes in the bottom of the legs and fill them up with candy. You can do the same thing to the body if you want to. Tape the holes shut with masking tape.
  7. Tie the string around the donkeys’ waist. Make sure you get enough string to hang it on a suitable height.
  8. Decorate the donkey with crepe paper in wide strips on whish you’ve cut frills. Start at the bottom and work your way up. Don’t forget to give it a tail!
